According to a recent Google Trends report, Galaxy, a Samsung implementation of Android is on the brink of overtaking Android itself in popularity and consumer awareness.
This is a sign that the Samsung Galaxy series has been very successful that is easily equated to Android. Google opposes this - wanting that no manufacturer dominate the Android platform.
